If you are a motivated and academically talented student, consider one of UB’s combined degree programs and earn a bachelor’s and master’s degree in as little as five years. Most combined degree programs produce a savings of nine to 15 credit hours. Choose from nearly 30 combined degree programs, from accounting to engineering to social work.
For those students whose academic path is more clearly defined, UB’s medical, dental and pharmacy schools offer special early assurance programs. These unique programs afford students the chance to complete additional studies, study abroad and pursue other interests free of the pressures of the admissions process.
UB is dedicated to providing the resources needed for entering freshman students to graduate in four years. Finish in 4 is the university’s commitment to help students make it happen and to ensure that they understand their responsibilities in achieving this important goal.
At UB, undergraduate education is a collaborative process where students have the opportunity to work with a renowned faculty member on innovative research and creative opportunities. Recognized nationally and internationally as outstanding teachers, world-class scholars and dedicated mentors, our faculty have engaged in research and innovation that have furthered existing knowledge and helped improve quality of life all over the world.
It’s not just our faculty who do amazing things. UB students do groundbreaking work of their own, leaving their mark on the university and the world around them. UB students are active contributors whose collaborative learning experiences resonate far beyond the classroom walls.
First- and second-year students can take advantage of UB’s Discovery Seminar Program, which provides the opportunity to engage with a distinguished faculty member on a thought-provoking and challenging topic in a small-class environment.
UB’s Undergraduate Academies is another collaborative venture that benefits from the wisdom and curiosity of all members within the university community. The Academies are living and learning communities that bring together university faculty, staff, alumni and students to focus on three broad themes: Civic Engagement, Global Perspectives and Research Exploration.
It’s this combined formula for academic exploration and growth that makes the undergraduate experience at UB a unique journey igniting students’ passion for learning—for life.
